Join Putah Creek Council and other community volunteers to plant trees along the banks of the newly reformed Putah Creek channel in Winters. The new trees will provide valuable wildlife habitat, help prevent erosion, and will beautify the creek for generations to come.
This is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded community members, introduce your family to environmental stewardship, learn to identify some native plants, see the new creek channel up close, and help local wildlife.
Meet at the gazebo at Winters Community Park, corner of Railroad and Main Streets, and we'll walk to the project site from there. We'll provide all necessary tools and gloves.
