Registration is closed for this event

Putah Creek Council welcomes Helping Hands volunteers for a day of Spring clean-up along Putah Creek in Winters. We'll work in teams to clean up trash, remove invasive species, mulch new plantings, plant a few new trees and shrubs, install post and cable fencing, and other tasks as needed.

Meet at the Winters LDS chapel at 435 Anderson Avenue at 8:00 AM to meet your team and carpool to the various nearby project sites.

Please bring a re-usable water bottle, gloves, and loppers, pruners, tarps, and wheelbarrows if you have them.

We recommend wearing clothes that can get dirty: lightweight long-sleeved shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a hat.

Registration link and map with directions are below.

The Winters Putah Creek Nature Park   has undergone many changes lately to improve habitat for native wildlife including fish, birds, reptiles, mammals, and insects. This is a great opportunity to see the new channel, learn which plants and animals live in and along the creek, and make a difference in our watershed.

NOTE: on the registration page you will be asked if you plan to attend the pre-event fundraising pancake breakfast with Winters Rotary. The breakfast is optional, but a great way to support local organizations.
