The city of Winters backs right onto Putah Creek, and the creek has been central to its history. The city currently owns over 53 acres along Putah Creek that stretch from the town to Interstate 505 on both sides of the creek.
Directions: Drive west from Davis on Russell or Covell Blvd. Cross I-505 and continue to the stop sign in Winters. Turn left and pass through town. Park in public lots on the left along Railroad Avenue or in the lots next to the Community Center. Winters is a destination bike ride for Davis residents because the trip is flat and scenic.
