September CreekSpeak: Winters Nature Park Upland Expansion
Join Putah Creek Council's fifth CreekSpeak talk of 2018 on September 20, 2018.
CreekSpeak is Putah Creek Council's six-month series of community talks about the nature, culture, and history of our region.
At this event, Putah Creek Council Stewardship Program Manager Amy Williams and Education Program Manager Karin Young will present with partners from the Yolo County Resource Conservation District about an upcoming expansion of the Winters Putah Creek Nature Park. Included in this project will be native plant installations, a demonstration garden, and a pollinator strip. At this meeting, Putah Creek Council staff will be soliciting ideas for interpretive panels to be developed and installed at the site - so bring your ideas! What would you like to learn about as you stroll along the creek?
CreekSpeak talks are free to Putah Creek Council members and open to the public. A $5 donation is requested from those who have not yet joined the Council.
The talks alternate between Davis and Winters on the third Thursday of the month. Additional talks in 2018 will include:
- Groundwater & Life (October 18, Davis)
