Registration is closed for this event
Thursday, July 20, 7PM Winters Community Library Parsons Room

Join Putah Creek Council's third CreekSpeak talk of 2017 on July 20, 2017.

CreekSpeak is Putah Creek Council's six-month series of community talks about the nature, culture, and history of our region.

The presentation will include a big-picture overview of the Proposition 1-funded restoration planning taking place along Putah Creek. Project priorities and updates on the scientific review processes will be included.

Amy Williams is the Stewardship Coordinator for Putah Creek Council, and Rich Marovich has been the Putah Creek Streamkeeper since 2000. They have been an integral part of planning upcoming habitat work on Putah Creek.

CreekSpeak talks are free to Putah Creek Council members and open to the public. A $5 donation is requested from those who have not yet joined the Council.

The talks alternate between Davis and Winters on the third Thursday of the month. Additional talks in 2017 will include:

  • Local Dragonflies of the Putah Creek Drainage, with Greg Kareofelas (August 17, Davis)
  • The Cache Creek Tending & Gathering Garden, with Cache Creek Conservancy (September 21, Winters)
  • Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation on Serpentine Soils, with Susan Harrison (October 19, Davis)
